Research Assistant Position under the Arizona State University, USA Project

The Centre requires one (1) Research Assistant to work under the collaborative project on “Religion and social decision making”. The project is being conducted in collaboration with Prof. Steve Neuberg, Arizona State University, Arizona, USA.

Last date: August 25, 2016

Qualifications: Post Graduate in Psychology, Cognitive Science or any other discipline. Candidate must have knowledge or experience on conducting experiments in the laboratory. Knowledge of Statistics and software like SPSS will be required.

Salary: Rs.18000/- p.m. consolidated

Project Assistant (Technical)

A post of Project Assistant (Technical) is available in a project funded by Wellcome Trust DBT India Alliance, in Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences. An ideal candidate should hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering in Computer Science/ Electronics/Instrumentation or any related field, OR a master’s degree in Physics/Mathematics/ Statistics with at least one year of research experience. Familiarity with modern computational techniques and working knowledge in programming in Matlab/ C /C++ is must. The position is primarily available for one year, which maybe extended based on performance and availability of fund. Remuneration will commensurate with employee’s education and experience. Last date for submission of Application is April 15, 2016.

Post Doctoral Fellow (Project)

Position of a Postdoctoral Fellow is open in a project funded by The Wellcome Trust DBT India Alliance. Applications are invited from candidates who have finished their Ph.D in Neuroscience/ Physics/Mathematics/ Computer Science/ Engineering/ Medicine/ Applied Physics/Systems Biology / Cognitive Science or related fields from a reputed institute. Candidates with experience in electrophysiology or computational modelling will be given preference. An ideal candidate should have at least one publication in a high-impact international peer reviewed journal (or h-index at least 3). Sound knowledge in Statistics, and experience in programming using C / C++ / Matlab is expected. Fellowship will be as per directives by The Wellcome Trust DBT India Alliance.

Junior Research Fellow (One)
Position of a Junior Research Fellow is open in a project funded by Department of Science and Technology. Applications are invited from  candidates with Post-Graduate in Physics/ Mathematics/ Biology/Computer Science/ Psychology/ Cognitive Science with NET qualification OR Graduate degree in Engineering / Medicine with NET qualification OR Post-Graduate degree in Engineering. An ideal candidate should have  basic knowledge of statistics and experience in programming. Recruitment of JRF will be as per OM No. SR/S9/Z-09/2012 dated October 21, 2014 issued by Department of Science & Technology (Govt.of India)

Post Doctoral Fellow Position (CBCS)

Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS) of University of Allahabad has opening for postdoctoral positions. An ideal candidate should have a good academic background with a Ph.D degree in any field related to brain and mind (e.g., Neuroscience, Cognitive Sciences, Psychology, Physiology, Medicine) or in engineering (Computation/ Communication/ Electronics/ Electrical). Experience of conducting behavioural and/or  electrophysiological experiments, and sound knowledge in Matlab/C programming is a plus.

The post is purely temporary and initial recruitment will be for one year, which may be extended up to another year based on fellow’s performance.
