Current

Dr. Sonia Baloni Ray

PhD in Cognitive Science, Gottingen Germany, sbaloni@cbcs.ac.in

Dr. Sonia Baloni Ray has worked on the neurophysiology of attentional effects on motion perception using electrophysiological and psychophysical techniques. Her current research focuses on attentional blink, motion perception, and emotion perception using psychophysics, eye tracking and EEG/ERP methods. She is also involved in teaching the course on Research Methods for Masters students.

Dr. Sujith Thomas

PhD in Computer Science, IIT-Kanpur, sujith@cbcs.ac.in

His current research is on supervised learning of artificial visual categories, and he studies why participants prefer one particular strategy while generalizing categories. He employs behavioural studies and computational modelling in his research. In addition to his research activities, Sujith also teaches Mathematical Methods in Cognitive Science for Masters students.

Dr. Saraswati Yadav

PhD in Human Physiology, Manipal University, saraswati.y@cbcs.ac.in

Currently she is working on the project on Resting EEG and ERP in the context of modulations in cognitive control among high, medium and low train anxious individuals. She is interested in doing research on psychophysiological parameters. Apart from research she is also involved in teaching Neuroscience for postgraduates.

Amrendra Singh

PhD in Cognitive Science, CBCS, Allahabad, amrendra.singh@cbcs.ac.in

His research is focused on investigating and understanding the effect of different meditation practices in improving cognition. Currently, he is studying the mechanisms involved in visual and temporal perceptual experience and how it is influenced by long term practice of concentrative meditation.
