Prof. Srikanth Padmala (CNS @ IISc)
Prof. Srikanth Padmala is an Assistant Professor at the Centre for Neuroscience, IISc Bangalore, where he leads the Emotion & Cognition Lab. His research explores how emotion, motivation, and cognition interact in the brain, using behavioral experiments, fMRI, and psychophysiology. With a PhD from the University of Maryland and over a decade of experience in cutting-edge affective neuroscience, his work sheds light on how emotional and motivational states shape perception, attention, and decision-making with implications for understanding anxiety, depression, and other mental health conditions.
