Cut-off Marks: 21 (Twenty One)
Important Notice
Cut-off Marks based on the COGJET-2026 score for the applicants shortlisted for Interview for MSc Cognitive Science at the Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences (CBCS), University of Allahabad, is 21.
1. This is a notification for all those who have appeared for COGJET 2026 and have received their scorecard (Screenshot). Applicants, who have scored 21 or more in the COGJET-2026, and would like to apply to the Masters’ program in Cognitive Science at CBCS, please download the Application Form and send the same (with Annexes and latest CV) by post to the following Address and also need to fill the Google Form.
Please also submit your application (soft copy of entire documents including latest CV) via email to <puneet@cbcs.ac.in> latest by April 10, 2026.
The deadline for the receipt of the hard copy of your application is April 13, 2026.

2. Applicants, who have not applied/appeared for COGJET 2026 and want to apply for admission (through GATE Marks) to the Masters’ program in Cognitive Science at CBCS through valid GATE Subject Marks (out of 100) converted to a minimum score of 21 out of 40 (equivalent to COGJET Score) in relevant subjects only (like Engineering, life sciences, zoology, microbiology, biotechnology, computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics, psychology, economics, linguistics and philosophy), may also apply as mentioned above in Sl. No. 1.
Note: Application Fee (Only for students applying through GATE Marks, who have not registered for COGJET 2026): The non-refundable fee is Rs. 1000/- for General and Rs. 700/- for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), and PwD).
If you have registered for COGJET 2026, you need not pay again and please mention your COGJET application ID.

3. Admission to the Masters’ program in Cognitive Science-2026 at CBCS will be based on COGJET/GATE Score/Marks plus Interview. All students with a COGJET and/or GATE score shall be called for the interview, based on the merit-based cut off (COGJET/GATE score out of 40).
4. Interviews (offline) for admission to MSc in Cognitive Science tentatively will be held in May 2026 / early June, 2026. The exact dates for the Interview will be announced shortly.
