Important Notice

Cut-off Marks based on the COGJET-2024 score for the applicants shortlisted for Interview for both MSc Cognitive Science & Integrated MSc-PhD in Cognitive Science at CBCS, UoA is 18.

1.  This is a notification for all those who have appeared for COGJET 2024 and have received their scorecard. Applicants who have scored 18 or more in the COGJET-2024, please download the Application Form and submit the same along with your CV with academic details with scanned annexures to Mr. Puneet Kumar, Administrative Officer <puneet@cbcs.ac.in> latest by April 17, 2024.

The Forms for the following two courses are:

  1. MSc Cognitive Science (Click Here WORD / PDF)
  2. MSc-PhD Integrated Programme in Cognitive Science (Click Here WORD / PDF)

Students can apply either for one course (only fill the form for the respective course) or both the courses (fill both forms).

2.   Applicants, who have not applied for COGJET 2024 and want to apply for admission to the said courses at the CBCS through valid GATE Scores (converted subject score minimum 18 out of 40) in relevant subjects (like Engineering, life sciences, zoology, microbiology, biotechnology, computer science, physics, mathematics, statistics, psychology, economics, linguistics and philosophy), they also need to apply as mentioned above in Sl. No. 1.

Application Fee (only for students applying through GATE Score, who have not registered for COGJET 2024):

The non-refundable fee is Rs. 1000/- for General and Rs. 700/- for SC/ST, OBC (NCL), and PwD).

3.   Admission to the Masters’ program in Cognitive Science-2024 at CBCS will be based on COGJET/GATE score plus Interview. All students with a COGJET and/or GATE score shall be called for the interview, based on the merit-based cut off (COGJET/GATE score out of 40). 

4.   Please keep the hard copy of the duly filled in application form (in original) with annexures for submission at the time of Interview/Admission.

5.   Interviews (offline) for admission to the MSc in Cognitive Science and MSc-PhD Integrated Programme in Cognitive Science tentatively will be held in May 2024 / early June, 2024. The exact dates for the Interview will be announced shortly.
