The Centre of Behavioural & Cognitive Sciences (CBCS) at the University of Allahabad welcomes researchers, PhD scholars, and postdoctoral fellows to utilize the National Neuroimaging Facility (NNF). Established by the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India, the NNF provides a premier research environment to conduct advanced neuroimaging studies.
The facility specifically welcomes scholars from the fields of cognitive science, cognitive neuroscience, and psychology.
Facility Highlights & Modalities: The NNF is fully equipped to support a strong interdisciplinary ecosystem. Key technologies and features include:
- A 3 Tesla fMRI Scanner (Siemens Magnetom Skyra).
- Support for multiple modalities including Task-based fMRI, Resting State fMRI, Diffusion Weighted Imaging (DWI/DTI), and Voxel-Based Morphometry (VBM).
- Advanced equipment such as 20 channel and 32 channel head coils, fMRI fiber-optic response pads/joysticks, and MRI compatible vision-correction eyeglasses.
- A dedicated scanner and preparation room, alongside an advanced console and analysis room.
Procedure to Access the Facility: The NNF promises a simple procedure to follow with fast execution of proposed studies. To access the facility, applicants must follow these steps:
- Submit a proposal following this format, and send it to puneet@cbcs.ac.in
- Scientific Committee review and approval.
- Submit ethics approval from the host institution to IERB, UoA.
- Set up the data acquisition protocol and streamline logistics.
