Tuesday, August 25, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. at the Centre.
Admission to D.Phil. in Cognitive Science (Interdisciplinary course)
Those students who have passed the CRET 2017 or JRF applicants in the related discipline i.e. Psychology, Zoology, & Computer Science are eligible for admission to D.Phil. in Cognitive Science. Interested applicants, who want to do D.Phil. in Cognitive Science have to attend the Interview held at the Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences, Senate Campus, Opposite to Proctor Office, University of Allahabad, Allahabad. Date of Interview will be announced separately by the Centre on the website.
Interested applicant has to submit an application to the Head, CBCS, AU with bio-data and a copy of CRET result.
The application will not be accepted by any mode (by hand/e-mail/post) after August 16, 2017.

How to Apply
Students can apply for Ph.D. in Cognitive Science online at the Allahabad University Admissions website http://aupravesh2017.cbtexam.in/Home/Applicationform.aspx under the CRET category. Applicants have to follow the procedures given on the website to complete their application.

Eligibility Criteria
Students who have completed a Master program in Cognitive/Behavioural Sciences or related disciplines including Psychology, Neuroscience, Sciences, Engineering (e.g., Computer Science, Electronics & Communication, Electrical Engineering), Linguistics, Medicine, and Philosophy are eligible to apply for admission to the Doctoral Program. Students with NET/JRF/CSIR/GATE/ICMR are very much encouraged to apply.
All rules and regulation regarding the conduct of the entrance exam are governed by the rules framed for entrance examination to the Doctoral Program by the University of Allahabad. For rules regarding NET and JRF candidates, please see the University website. UGC JRF candidates are exempt from the entrance exam.

A written entrance test and an interview will be conducted for selecting scholars to the D.Phil. Program.

Interview
An Interview is conducted for applicants who qualify the written test. The interview is both technical and personal.
Venue: Centre of Behavioural and Cognitive Sciences, Senate Campus (Gate In front of Krishna Coaching, Allenganj), University of Allahabad, Allahabad.
Timing: 10:00 a.m. onwards.
International Students
International Students seeking admission to the D.Phil. Program should contact the International Students Advisor of the University, who shall issue appropriate instructions to them who fulfill the qualifications for being considered for admission to the D.Phil. Program. The cases of international students are subject to the provisions of the third proviso to clause 1 (a)(iii) of the University’s Ordinance LVI. The process and schedule for the admission of International Students may be different from that for the candidates qualifying in the entrance examination. Prospective international students are requested to send all the relevant information along with the application form (without the money draft) to CBCS office or the Head, CBCS first before contacting the International Students Advisor of the University.
